The Eight Types of Love (Hellion Magazine)
I am currently an M.A. candidate in the School of Design at Carnegie Mellon University, where I also work as an administrative coordinator. I plan to expand my skill set to include web design.
My background is in English Literature and Writing. In 2016, I received a Master of Art’s degree in English Literature from Duquesne University, where I studied mainly Modernism and Film Theory, with a particular focus on the work of David Lynch.
Professionally, I have experience with freelance writing. I have worked most frequently for Complex.com as an Art and Design writer. I’ve worked on diverse content such as artist profiles, interior design, and architecture. These are the topics I enjoy most, but far from the only ones I’ve covered. In my work for other websites, I have profiled local businesses, created photo essays, and ranked, listed, and judged galore. I’ve also pitched creative article topics and unearthed weird colloquial legends that went viral. Although I love the art of writing in its most pure form, much of my freelance work has taught me the basics of marketing and how to create popular content.
