I am currently an M.A. candidate in the School of Design at Carnegie Mellon University. I plan to expand my skill set to include web design, however recently I have also become interested in transition design.
In 2016, I received a Master of Art’s degree in English Literature from Duquesne University, where I studied Modernist-era literature and art and Film Theory, with a particular focus on the work of David Lynch.
Professionally, much of my experience is in freelance writing. I have worked most frequently for Complex.com as an Art and Design writer. I’ve worked on diverse content such as artist profiles, interior design, and architecture. In my work for other websites, I have profiled local businesses, created photo essays, and ranked, listed, and judged galore. I’ve also pitched creative article topics and unearthed weird colloquial legends that went viral. Although I love the art of writing in its most pure form, much of my freelance work has taught me the basics of marketing and how to create popular content.
